Do you offer in-person visits?

Yes, in-person visits are offered in Lubbock, TX and Southlake, TX.

Do you take insurance?

No. Ignite Weight Loss & Mental Health does not accept insurance, however we do accept payment with FSA/HSA. You may file a claim with your insurance company to potentially receive reimbursement for appointments. Insurance may be used to pay for medication and blood work.

What is needed for my first appointment?

Blood pressure machine, scale, and digital device (computer, phone) that allows video and microphone access for telemedicine.

How much do services cost?

See pricing menu (Veiw Menu). Medications, labs, and medical testing are not included.

Are discounts or promotions available?

Periodically we offer discounts on follow up appointments to existing patients for family and friends they refer to us. Existing patients stay posted and check your email for when these promotions are running!

Will I be under the care of a medical provider?

Yes, you will be treated by a physician or nurse practitioner.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

A 1-hour detailed assessment of your medical, nutritional, behavioral history will be performed to ensure you are prescribed the right medication, if indicated. You will also receive nutrition, lifestyle habits, and exercise counseling.

How often are appointments?

Appointment may range once every 2 weeks to once every 3 months. Follow up appointment intervals depend on patients’ goals, prescribed medication and progress.

What results can I expect to see and how quickly?

Ignite Weight Loss & Mental Health offers a holistic 4 point approach to weight loss. Utilizing medication, behavioral modification, as well as nutritional and exercise counseling can result in up to 20 lbs weight loss during the first month.

We offer a softer touch, more compassionate approach to treatment realizing that mental health and overweight / obesity are sensitive, emotional topics for many. Instead being told to “figure it out for yourself” or feeling your concerns are dismissed by your medical provider, Ignite explores solutions to barriers on your success. Furthermore, this clinic provides longterm results that differ from quick fix, “pill mill” clinics. A holistic look is given to your mental, physical, social, and emotional wellbeing to ensure you, as a whole person, are succeeding at your goals.

What types of medications are prescribed?

Stimulants such as Phentermine, amino acids, appetite suppressants, energy boosters, and injectables such as Semaglutide, a GLP-1 inhibitor for weight loss. Medications to treat binge eating, such as Vyvanse and antidepressants, are also prescribed. In addition, Ignite can prescribe medications for primary psychiatric illness such as mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, and sleep aids. Psychiatric medications are specifically selected to minimize undesirable side effects such as weight gain and daytime sedation.
