Jillian Tate is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus in integrative wellness and weight loss management. She initially studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. She then realized her passion for nursing and attended Rogers State University and Oklahoma Panhandle State University for her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She received her Master of Science in Nursing at Angelo State University. Jillian’s healthcare experience as a registered nurse includes twelve years in intensive care, emergency room, and lifestyle medicine settings.
As a nurse practitioner, Jillian has functioned as a hospitalist in a critical access hospital, a rural primary care provider, and as an integrative wellness practitioner. She is certified in Family Practice through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She is currently receiving specialized functional health training through the Institute for Functional Medicine. During school, she received many recognitions including The Most Distinguished Graduate of her RN program and The Outstanding Graduate of her Masters program. She is also a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Jillian joined the Ignite team in March 2024. She has a passion for identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Her expertise includes weight loss management with a focus on lifestyle interventions, reducing chronic inflammation, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, gut health, thyroid health, optimizing health with the use of supplementation, and HPA axis dysregulation. She believes the body functions as a whole and to achieve optimal wellness all systems must be functioning optimally together.
Jillian is a mother to three young children and the wife to an accountant. She spends most of her time at the baseball fields and enjoys finding ways to be active as a family. She has a passion for teaching children about health in an age-appropriate way.
